12/31/10 Good-bye 2010
6.2 miles Temp 48 degrees No wind Time of Run:
Alarm went off and I heard a big crash of Thunder. We had a band winter storm. The thunder and lightning forced me to roll over, pull my covers over my head and go back to sleep for a couple of hours. Eventually got up and threw on a pair of shorts and some running clothes and went out for a beautiful end of year run. The snow on the streets and path were melted and it was just a matter of skipping puddles and trying to keep the shoes dry. John stayed back so I managed a solo run. What a difference in temperature from the ice freeze at the Arboretum on Wed. This has been a great year for running. Qualified for Boston in 2009 and experienced the thrill of a lifetime in 2010 by running the famed Boston Marathon. Best part was that my family was there to celebrate with me!
