Today was definitely a day to test one’s mental toughness. The weather was cold and the path going over the bridge wasn’t cleared so it was like running through 3 feet of snow for about a tenth of a mile. It was hard work getting through that. Not sure how John maneuvered the bike, but he did and managed to meet me on the road in Villa Park. The worst part about getting across it was that you know you are going to have to face it on the way back. So, not only was my body tired from shoveling yesterday, but I had a swim workout staring me in the face. Tried to think of another day to do it, but finally decided to bite the bullet. Ended up swimming 64 laps. Officially 8 away from 2 miles. Can’t believe it. Hard work is paying off.
