Taper, Taper, Taper
Alarm went off and my body begged me to stay in bed, so I gave in. This probably is the hardest part of training for me. The beginning of the taper week. I start to get nervous about not running as much. Will I lose what I've been building up for so long? Its a very fine line so you don't get burned out before the race. This is the time to trust myself and be confident in all the miles I have put in both on the road and in the pool. Its just very hard to sit still and I am not very good at staying put. Work is very busy and I have tons to do before I set foot on the train so that will be a good distraction for me. I need to set up an appointment with Fr. Matt for a blessing before I head out. Lots on the plate.
