37 degrees 9 mph wind
22 miles
So today was the big test. Today was going to be my first long run since my 9 days off. Last long run was 18 miles. Weather today was warm but windy. Yesterday's prediction was for rain today. Luckily it rained most of yesterday and that nasty weather had moved out. So, it was a relief to know that I didn't have to count my miles today. I just need to run from my house to Wheaton, cross the bridge and run to marker #1, turn around and run home. And, thats exactly what I did. I gued at miles 6, 12 and 18. I also tried this new supplement that helps with the lactic acid build up. Seemed to work as my legs didn't feel as stiff as they have in the past. They were just tired as they should have been after running 22 miles. John came with me on the bike and carried my drinks and the clothes that I started to shed from the heat. I felt so great when I finished the 22 miles. Best I have ever felt after a run of this distance. The only thing I will add to Boston is one more gu. Boston...Bring it on!
